Lotus EV Experience Enhanced by Bosch and Mobilize Charging Collaborations

In a significant move to bolster the electric vehicle (EV) infrastructure for its customers, Lotus has announced groundbreaking partnerships with Bosch and Mobilize Power Solutions. This strategic collaboration aims to streamline the charging experience for Lotus EV owners across Europe.

Owners of Lotus’ electrifying models, including the Eletre hyper-SUV and the eagerly anticipated Emeya electric hyper-GT, set for delivery later this year, will benefit from an expanded charging network. Leveraging Bosch’s expansive infrastructure, Lotus EV drivers gain access to over 600,000 public charging stations across 30 countries, including key markets like the UK, Germany, and France.

Lotus is determined to extend its charging network further, planning to incorporate more operators in the future. This network enhancement can be seamlessly navigated through the Lotus Charging Card, complemented by a user-friendly smartphone app. The app not only facilitates charging station location but also offers functionalities like charging history tracking, cost management, and remote battery status monitoring.

The charging capabilities of Lotus EVs are impressive. The Eletre and Emeya can gain up to 74 and 93 miles of range respectively with just five minutes of charging using a 350kW DC fast charger. In about 20 minutes, the Eletre’s range can be boosted by up to 80%, and the Emeya can achieve a similar increase in just 18 minutes. Adding to the convenience, the vehicles feature intelligent route planning to optimize range.

Further enhancing the EV ownership experience, Lotus has collaborated with Mobilize Power Solutions to offer a comprehensive charging package. This includes the supply and installation of home charging points, backed by personalized support throughout the process, from order to commissioning.

Mike Johnstone, Chief Commercial Officer at Lotus Group, emphasized the importance of this initiative. “With charging infrastructure still a major hurdle in EV adoption, it’s crucial to simplify electric vehicle ownership. Collaborations like these are pivotal in hastening the shift to electrification,” he said.

Echoing this sentiment, Olivia Arago, Vice-President of eMobility Services at Bosch Electrified Motion, highlighted the importance of public charging access to potential EV buyers. “Our aim is to enhance charging access across Europe, and we are thrilled to support Lotus customers in this journey,” she stated.

Nicolas Schottey, CEO of Mobilize Power Solutions, remarked on the convenience of home charging. “Our partnership with Lotus now makes it simpler than ever for customers to enjoy the benefits of EV ownership right from their homes,” he said.

With these strategic partnerships, Lotus is set to significantly elevate the EV experience for its European customers, underlining its commitment to accelerating the transition to sustainable mobility.
